Building your Deck
You're likely starting Kyoukai with a Starter Deck, with the Participant as your Entrant.
If you're now interested in making your deck your own, follow these rules:

Choose an Entrant. You can stick with the Participant for constructed play if you wish!
Note that not all Entrants are currently available for play, but they will be for print.

Build your Main Deck of 40 Gates, where:

Your Main Deck can only have Normal, Fast, and Summon Gates, as shown by the top icon on each Gate.

You have no more than 3 of any Gate.

Each Gate in your Deck must either be Generic, or from the same Path as your Entrant.
An Entrant's Path is shown as a Border on their Gate.
The Participant is Generic, so his deck can only contain Generic Gates.
Below are examples of Gates you could play in a deck with Sui, Spellshard Researcher!

Build your Spirit Deck, of up to 15 Spirit Gates, following the Limit on each one.
Each Spirit Gate shows how many of it you can play - there is no general limit for Spirit Gates.
For example, Sui's deck will usually have 6 Passerby Pixies,
and most decks will have 1 Childhood Guardian.
