Designing fixtures and furniture,
for high-end clients and custom homes.
As Heritage Metalwork's design engineer, I take the sensibilities of its owner, Matt White, and apply them to our clients' visions, creating 3D models and drawings that help the Heritage Metalworks team of craftsmen and blacksmiths bring those visions to life.
I primarily function as a design translator - making sure our client understands what's possible, and making sure our shop knows what design elements are critical to the fit and finish of the final product. Below you'll find some screenshots and photos of my work.
Freelancing with One Block
I once applied to Spanner PD through a cold email, offering to do anything at all to get into the product design space and start picking up experience. That lead to a friendship with John Caldwell, its co-owner. After he left to start a new design firm, I've been lucky to continue receiving programs from him that have given me invaluable experiences in product development.
